Woodlawn Cemetery
3412 N. Ola Avenue
Woodlawn Cemetery in Tampa has side-by-side plots for Union and Confederate veterans. The plots are identical in size and are enclosed by borders; these were seemingly designed to transform former foes to neighbors in death. The Union plot was established by the Grand Army of the Republic and has a G.A.R. monument at its center. At the center of the Confederate plot is a monument erected by the United Confederate Veterans.
