Sinkhole at the Natural Bridge
A series of sinkholes mark the St. Marks River at the battlefield--these sinkholes are fed by the St. Marks river as it flows between. Some accounts tell of dead Union soldiers being thrown into these sinkholes after the battle. (Photo by William Lees, FPAN, July 2008)
