Close up on monument

Across the top of this large granite slab are the current US emblem, the seal of the Confederate States of America, and the Southern Cross of Honor. The slab is engraved with:

IN MEMORY OF "ALL AMERICAN VETERANS"

This memorial honors all American veterans who served and continue to serve in the armed forces of the United States of America and to all those who served in the armed forces of the Confederate States of America 1864-1865. Although seperated by generations, they all shared a common undeniable goal-to voluntarily protect our country's freedom. The memories of these American veterans will continue to live on wherever democracy exists. American veterans "all gave some-some gave all" are eternal symbols of heroism, sacrifice, dedication to duty, loyalty and freedom.

This monument is erected by United Sons of the Confederacy of Dixie County, Florida
