Before and After 1565: Gallery Opening ReceptionTime: 5:00 pm til 9:00 pm Location: Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, Flagler College Description: This exhibition will serve as a repository for information researched by students & community members, as well as native ceramics & other artifacts on loan from the St. Augustine City Archaeological Archive & Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve, photographs & ledger drawings created by Native Americans interned in the late 19th century from the collection at the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve at Fort Caroline. The Florida Public Archaeology Network is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
