Pensacola History & Archaeology Summer CampTime: 8:30 am til 12:30 pm Location: Historica Pensacola Village, Downtown Pensacola, FL Description: A one-week social studies enrichment camp that will immerse campers in hands on activities in history and archaeology. Campers will visit an archaeology lab, museums, historic sites, and archival collections in downtown Pensacola. Campers will also research, design, create and present their own museum exhibit. The Florida Public Archaeology Network is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
