Archaeology Days

Young visitors discover artifacts while sifting through dirt in a mock dig. Jennifer Melcher (UWF Archaeology Graduate Student) and Mary Furlong (FPAN Outreach Coordinator) help a park volunteer and visitor identify artifacts found in Northwest Florida. Larry James (FPAN Intern) uses a hands-on activity to show visitors the importance of stratigraphy in the archaeological record.

Society for Historic Archaeology's Public Day
