Boca Bones

Palm Beach County Archaeologist Christian Davenport

At the turn of twentieth century, Boca Raton was as remote as anyplace can be.   Early pioneers of the area discovered and excavated many ancient Native American earthworks.  The scattered writings and rare photographs left behind by early explorers constitute the only surviving documentation of many Ancient Indian Monuments which were once part of Palm Beach County's landscape.
